“The measure comes after a University of Utah campus police officer showed explicit photos of McCluskey to male co-workers in a setting not related to the sextortion investigation against her ex-boyfriend and eventual murder, Melvin Rowland. Charges were not filed against the officer.
Currently, state law requires revenge porn victims to suffer emotional distress for charges to be filed. Hall said this prohibited charges from being filed in McCluskey’s case.”
