What’s Current: German police force suggest women run in pairs to avoid sexual assault

A German police force has come under fire for suggesting women go jogging in pairs, after a runner was sexually assaulted in Rosental park.

Victims of domestic abuse will now be allowed to vote in secret at UK elections in order to keep their identities hidden.

The judge sentencing Queen’s University student and hockey player Chance Macdonald, who sexually assaulted a teenage girl at a house party, delayed Macdonald’s sentence so that it wouldn’t interfere with his summer internship.

Charles Edward John Barrons received a three-year suspended sentence after breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulting her partner. Other charges, including sexual assault and death threats, were withdrawn. Nonetheless, he is still being admitted to the University of Ottawa law school.
