- Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam has granted clemency to Cyntoia Brown. Brown was prostituted as a teenager and killed a john when she was 16. Ms. Brown will be released on parole this August, after serving 15 years of her 51 year sentence.
- An irregular heartbeat can be more risky for women. Females with atrial fibrillation are almost twice as likely to have fatal heart disease and strokes and respond less well to AF drugs or are being diagnosed later than men.
- A UK undercover police officer misled an inquiry into police spies who infiltrated political groups by initiating sexual relationships with female members.
- The Catholic organization, Opus Dei, has paid $997,000 to settle a sexual misconduct suit against against prominent priest, Father C. John McCloskey. The complainants were adult women.
