PODCAST: Milk — A documentary about birth & breastfeeding

Milk Poster

Despite the fact that women have been breastfeeding, quite literally, for all of human existence, there is still stigma and judgement around how women feed their babies. Beyond that, the formula industry has capitalized on this natural human need, regardless of the impact on women and their children. A new documentary, Milk,  explores the politics, commericalization, and controversies around birth and infant feeding.

In this episode, I speak with director, Noemi Weis, about the film and some of the issues it addresses.

You can watch the film on CBC’s documentary channel on November 18th.
