I wrote a blog post this month addressing some photos discovered online of an RCMP officer who was engaging in BDSM. The post was quite controversial with those who felt that it was an attack on BDSM or on ‘kinky people’, which it was not. I wrote a response to some of the critiques here. As a result of the posts and the response, I decided to produce two podcasts on the subject. The first featured an interview with sexuality educator, Charlie Glickman. You can listen to that podcast here.

For part two of the series I spoke with feminist scholar and author, Kathleen Barry. She is known for her important and extensive work in feminism, in particular her book, now a feminist classic: Female Sexual Slavery. Her most recent book is called Unmaking War, Remaking Men: How Empathy Can Reshape our Politics, Our Soldiers and Ourselves. To learn more about Kathleen’s work, please visit: kathleenbarry.net
